Priest, Doctor, or Barber?

Barbers back in the day were trusted with a lot more than just shaving your beard.

Barbers were trusted to be priests due to the belief that evil spirits that entered your body (through your hair!) could be banished by getting a fresh cut.

They even preformed weddings and ceremonies like baptism.

Barbers were also handy for setting bones back into place and pulling your teeth out. They could almost be considered a kind of doctor!

It wasn’t even until the 18th century that Chicago Illinois produced the first barber school that they were ever formerly taught. Barbers were trusted with many procedures with little to no education up until this point.

Would you trust your barber with any of these?
